Tracy Lawrence has been a fixture on the Nashville music scene for over two decades. He’s had 18 #1 singles and 22 songs on the Billboard top ten charts, with over 13 million albums sold. With both ACM and CMA wins to his credit, his artistic influence has had a broad reach, and the music he makes today is still authentically relevant and true to his character. And that’s no “Lie.” Blessed with God-given talent, an abundant career, and a legion of loyal fans, Tracy chose to give back to the community that has supported him for so many years.

In 2005, Tracy Lawrence hosted his first Mission:Possible Turkey Fry to benefit the Nashville Rescue Mission and assist in their efforts to feed those in need in Middle Tennessee. Now in its tenth year, the event has helped to provide more than 65,000 meals and 4,500 turkeys for the area’s homeless, hungry, and hurting. Tracy gathers with friends and celebrity guests in the parking lot of the Nashville Rescue Mission for a full day of turkey frying and meal preparation. This year’s plan is to fry 500 turkeys. In the evening, he takes to the stage to host a benefit concert with the help of some very talented friends.

The Tenth Annual Tracy Lawrence Mission:Possible Turkey Fry will take place on Tuesday, November 24. Following the day’s frying, the Mission:Possible Benefit Concert will be held at City Winery, with doors opening at 6pm and the show to begin at 8pm. Joining Tracy in this thankful celebration will be Charlie Daniels, Lorrie Morgan, Brad Arnold of 3 Doors Down, Halfway to Hazard, and Darryl Worley. General Admission is $40 and tickets may be purchased through City Winery. It promises to be a great night of country tradition, in song and generosity of heart.

Nashville is often referred to as a big city that acts like a small town. The people are friendly and take care of their own, and country stars often take the lead in those philanthropic efforts. Tracy Lawrence has much to be thankful for. He’s a gifted singer, with a career that’s seen many highlights, and has NASHVILLE RESCUE MISSION LOGOwithstood the test of time. In this season of thanksgiving, he’s chosen to pay it forward and lend a hand, and his voice, to help those in the community he calls home. Pairing with the Nashville Rescue Mission, he has found an outlet for his contributions. They provide much needed emergency services – food, clothing, and shelter, including three hot meals a day, along with counseling and assistance through their life recovery program. Their doors are open 365 days a year, and events like Tracy’s Turkey Fry and Benefit Concert help sustain their efforts. As Tracy so beautifully points out in his hit single, it’s in times of need that you “Find Out Who Your Friends Are,” and he has been a great friend to the Mission.

Kick off the season of giving by helping Tracy give back to the community. Come out to City Winery on Tuesday night, November 24, for a great night of music and celebration!
